Given:

Cost of 2kg of apples and 1kg of grapes is ₹ 240

Cost of 4kg of apples and 2kg of grapes is ₹ 500

To find:

Graphical representation of the Situation.

Solution:

1) Let the price of 1 kg apple is ₹ x

Let the price of 1 kg grapes is ₹ y

2) According to the question:

  • 2x+y =240 ---(I)

After a month:

  • 4x+2y =500
  • 2x+y = 250--(II)

The Solution of the equations graphically.

  • 2x+y =240

|  x   | 50   | 100 |

|  y   | 140  |  40  |

  • 2x+y = 250

|  x   | 50      | 100 |

|  y   | 150    |  50  |

The lines of the equations in both condition are parallel to each other.

For the representation refer to the picture.
