Let cost of 1 chair be x and 1 table be y then
8x+3y=4350 and
5x+2y=2800=>y=(2800-5x)/2
Putting value of y in first equation
8x+3((2800-5x)/2)=4350
Multiplying by 2
16x+3(2800-5x)=8700
16x+8400-15x=8700
X=300
Again
5x+2y=2800
5(300)+2y=2800
1500+2y=2800
2y=1300
y=650
Therefore, cost of one table is 650 rs and one chair is 300 rs.

Let the cost of a table be x.
Let the cost of a chair be y.
A/C
3x+8y=4350 ------------(1) and
2x+5y=2800-------------(2)
Multiply (1) with 2
Multiply (2) with 3
then the equation becomes:
6x+16y=8700
6x+15y=8400
By elimination method the equation becomes:
y=300   substitute in equation 1
⇒3x+8(300)=4350
⇒3x+2400=4350
⇒3x=4350-2400
⇒3x=1950
⇒x=1950/3
⇒x=650
∴ x = 650, y= 300
∴The cost of a table is Rs. 650 and the cost of a chair is Rs.300
