3x+2y=870....(1)

4x+3y=780....(2)

multiply(1) by 4 -- 12x+8y=3480....(3)

multiply (2) by 3-- 12x+9y=2340....(4)

subtract (3) and (4)

12x+8y=3480

12x+9y=2340

0 - y= 1140

y= -1140

substitute y= -1140 in 4

12x+9(-1140)=2340

12x=2340+10260

12x=12600
