The cost of 4 televisions and 4 air conditioner is Rs.1,20,000.The cost of 6 televisions and 4 air conditioners in Rs.1,70,000.What would be the total cost of 2 television and 2 air conditioners?

Let x be the number of television and y be the number of AC
A) 4x+4y = 120000
4(x+y) = 120000
x+y = 30000
Similarly
B) 6x+4y = 170000
2(3x+2y) = 170000
3x+2y = 85000
From A , x = 30000-y
Introducing this value of x in B)
3(30000-y) +2y = 85000
90000- 3y +2y =85000
90000-y = 85000
y=5000
therefore x = 30000-5000= 25000
Hence cost per TV = 25000 and AC = 5000
Therefore cost of 2 TV and 2 AC = 2*25000 +2*5000 = 60000
