the cost of 5 balls and 2 bats is 1300 .if the cost of bat is 300 more than the ball then determine the cost of one ball and one bat

Cost of 1 bat = x
Cost of 1 ball = y
ATQ,
5y + 2x = 1300 --eq (1)
Also, 
x = 300 + y --eq (2)
Replacing value of x in eq (1) from eq (2)
5y + 600 + 2y = 1300
7y = 700
y = 100
Therefore, cost of 1 ball = 100 rs. 
Cost of 1 bat = 400 rs
