Let the CP of one chair be ₹x.

CP of 5 chairs = CP of 3 tables

CP of 5 chairs = ₹5x

CP of 3 tables = ₹5x

CP of 1 table = ₹5x/3

CP of 1 table = ₹300

₹5x/3 = ₹300

₹x = ₹300 * 3 /5

= ₹180

Therefore, the cost price of one chair is ₹180

CP of 3 tables = ₹300

CP of 1 table = ₹300/3

= ₹100

CP of 5 tables = ₹100*5

= ₹500

CP of 3 chairs = ₹180 * 3 = ₹540

Total CP of 3 chairs and 5 tables = ₹540 + ₹500

= ₹ 1040

Ans. = ₹1040 is the cost of 3 chairs and 5 tables.
