now subtract equation 3 from 4 :-

(49x+35y) - (25x+35y) = 322-250

49x + 35y - 25x - 35y = 72

24x = 72

x = 72/24 = 3

so cost of 5 oranges = 5*3 = 15

cost of one orange = 15/5 = 3

now cost of 7apples = 7*3 = 21

so cost of one apple = 21/7 = 3

multiply eq(1) by 7

multiply eq(2) by 5

35x + 49y = 350.........(3)

y = 120 / 24

y = 10/2

substitute y in eq 1 .

5x + 35 = 50
