the cost of a mobile phone was increased from rupees 2200 to a rupees 2640. By how much percent was the cost increased?

Given :


Original cost is Rs 2200


Increased cost is Rs 2640


Difference = 2640 - 2200 = 440 .


Finding percentage -


Difference/original cost x 100


440/2200 x 100 = 20%


Hence :


Percentage increased = 20%
