The cost of a pencil is AED 0.25 cents more than the cost of a eraser , if the cost of 8 pencils and 10 erasers is AED 15.5 , What is the cost of each ?

Let cost of pencil be "x" & that of eraser be "y".
Then, x=y+0.25 &
8x+10y = 15.5,

That is, 8(y+0.25)+10y=15.5
18y=13.5,
y=0.75
x=1
