The cost of a product is * 200. The shopkeeper increase this
cost with 20%, after that he reduce the cost with 20%. Then
what is the difference in the cost price. Whether there is
increment or decrement in it.​

Therefore

new cost =200+200×20/100

=200+40

=Rs.240

Then the shopkeeper decreases the cost by 20%

Therefore

new cost=240-240×20/100

=240-48

=Rs.192

original price>new price

original price-new price =200-192

=8

therefore there is a decrement in yhe original price by Rs.8
