Given :

Cost of fencing per meter = ₹ 18

Total cost of fencing = ₹ 1980

Width of the rectangle is 23 m.

To Find :

We have to find the length of the rectangular field.

Solution :

As, cost of fencing is given then,

\small{\star{\boxed{\sf{Perimeter = \frac{Total \: cost \: of \: fencing}{Cost \: of \: fencing \: per \: m}}}}}

\sf{Perimeter = \frac{\cancel{1980}}{\cancel{18}}} \\ \\ \sf{Perimeter = 110 \: m}

\Large{\star{\boxed{\sf{Perimeter = 110 \: m}}}}

\rule{200}{2}

\small{\star{\boxed{\sf{Perimeter = 2(Length + Breadth)}}}}

\sf{\mapsto 110 = 2(Length + 23)} \\ \\</p><p></p><p> \sf{\mapsto \frac{\cancel{110}}{\cancel{2}} = Length + 23} \\ \\ \sf{\mapsto 55 = Length + 23} \\ \\ \sf{\mapsto Length = 55 - 23} \\ \\ \sf{\mapsto Length = 32 \: m}

\Large{\star{\boxed{\sf{Length = 32 \: m}}}}

Given ,

  • Cost of fencing a rectangular field = rupees 18 per metre
  • Total cost of fencing =rupees 1980
  • width=23m
  • length =?

Now,

=>Total fenced =Total cost of fencing/Cost of fencing a rectangular field

Total fenced =1980/80

=110m

Perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)

putting the value

=>110=2(l+23)

=>110/2=l+23

=>55m=l+23

=>length =55-23

=>length =32 m
