Answer :-

Given :-

  • Cost of sofa = Rs. 2800
  • Loss = 10%

To Find :-

  • Selling price, SP

Solution :-

There is a loss of 10% at the cost of Rs. 2800.

Loss = 2800 × 10%

= 2800 × 10/100

= 280

So, there is a loss of Rs. 280.

Now, we have,

  • Cost price = Rs. 2800
  • Loss = Rs. 280

We know that,

Selling price = Cost price - Loss

= 2800 - 280

= 2520

The price at which it is sold is Rs. 2520.

Given :

  • Totally value = ₹2800

  • loss percent = 10%

To Find :

  • Price at which sofa set sold ?

Solution :

◆ We know that,

percent = part / whole × 100

10% = part / 2800 / 100

part value = percent × whole / 100

part value = 10% × 2800 / 100

part value = 28000 / 100

part value = 280

10 % = ₹ 280

If shopkeeper sells sofa set at a loss of 10%

Then,

Selling price = 2800 - 280

Selling price = 2520

Hence, Price at which sofa set sold is 2520
