let the cost of a pen be "X " and watch be "y "

given that :- X + Y = 140 -----(1)

and

Y = 6x ----(2)

substitute y value ( eq 2) in equation 1



X +6x = 140

7x = 140

X = 140/7

X =20


so,

The cost of a pen is rs.20

and watch cost = 6(20) = 120

so the crct answer is "B"
