The cost of an article is Rs.3000. A man pays ST x%, and pays Rs.3300. Find the rate of sales tax.

here cost =3000
sales tax=x%
paying rate=3300
so tax=300
here we got, 3000×x/100=300
so x=10
there fore sales tax is 10%
