Answer:-

Given:

▪︎Cost price of article = ₹40000

▪︎Money spent on repairing = ₹1000

▪︎Profit % = 10 %

To Find:

▪︎Selling price of article

Solution:

➥ New C.P.

= ₹40000 + ₹1000

= ₹41000

➥ Selling price of article with profit of 10 %

= [(100 + profit%) × CP] ÷ 100

= [(100 + 10%) × 41000] ÷ 100

= [110 × 41000] ÷ 100

= 4510000 ÷ 100

= ₹45100

Hence, Selling price of article is ₹45100

Formula to be remembered:-

▪︎Profit = S.P. - C.P.

▪︎Loss = C.P. - S.P.

▪︎Profit % = (Profit ÷ C.P.) × 100%

▪︎Loss % = (Loss ÷ C.P.) × 100%

▪︎ S.P. = [(100 + profit%) × CP] ÷ 100

▪︎S.P. = [(100 - loss%) × CP] ÷ 100

▪︎C.P. = (S.P. × 100) ÷ (100 + Profit%)

▪︎C.P. = (S.P. × 100) ÷ (100 - Loss%)
