The cost of apples and oranges is in the ratii of 6:9 per box.if a box of oranges costs ₹90,what is the cost of a box of apples?

Hello,
You should set up a proportion to compare apples to oranges based on the given ratio and the ratio that you want to find:
 \frac{6apples}{9orange} = \frac{xapples}{90orange}

The left side shows the proportion of apples to oranges that you've given me, and the right side shows the cost  apples that we want to find over the cost of oranges

we use the c
ross multiplication:
6× 90=540
9×x=9x

set  9x and 540 equal to each other and solve for x:
9x=540;
x=540/9=60;
x=60

The cost of apples is ₹60
