The cost of cultivating a rectangular field at rupees 35 per square metre is rupees 71400. if the width of field is 40 m. find the breadth of the rectangular plot. which plot has the greater area and by how much?

area = \frac{71400}{35} {cm}^{2}

area = 2040 {cm}^{2}

Now,

area \: of \: plot = l \times b

2040 {cm}^{2} = 40cm \times b

b = \frac{2040}{40}

b = 51cm
