➡HERE IS YOUR ANSWER⬇

Area of a rectangle = Length × Width

Given :

Width = 40 m

Then, by the given condition

Area of the rectangular field = (Total cost of fencing)/(Cost of fencing per metre)

or, Length × Width = 71400/35

or, Length × 40 = 2040

or, Length = 2040/40

or, Length = 51

So, the length of the rectangular field = 51 m

Now, to fence a field is to find its perimeter.

Perimeter of the rectangular field

= 2 × (Length + Width)

= 2 × (51 + 40) m

= 2 × 91 m

= 182 m

Therefore, total cost of fencing at Rs 50 per metre

= Rs (182 × 50)

= Rs 9100
