Let the length and breadth be a and b

Semi perimeter of field = (a + b) = 48

$= > a = 48 - b ..(1)$

Area of field =

$a \: \times b$

Using ( 1 )

(48 - b)b = 384 = b² - 48 b + 384 = 0

Solving we get,

b = 37.85 m and a = 10.15 m
