The perimeter of the field = 2( length + breadth)

Cost of fencing for 2( x + 23 ) m = Rs. 1980

By cross multiplying

1980 = 18 × 2( x + 23 )

1980 = 36 ( x + 23 )

$x + 23 =\frac{1980}{36\\} \\x + 23 = 55\\x= 55-23\\ x= 32$

So, the length of the rectangular field will be 32 m.
