The cost of fencing a square field at 60 paise per metre is Rs. 1200.Find the cost of reaping the field at the rate of 50 paise per 100 sq metres.

If 60 paise is cost for fencing 1 metre
Then, Rupees 1200 is cost for fencing 2000 metres (100/60 * 1200)
So perimeter of square is 2000 metres
So each side of square is 500 metres(2000/4)
So Area of Square=500*500
=250000metre²
Cost for reaping 100 metre²=50 paisa
Cost for reaping 1 metre²=50/100 paisa
Cost for reaping 250000 metre²= 50/100 *250000
=1250 Rupees!
