cost of laying a three metre wide pavement at the cost of Rs 50 per sq m

Explanation:

Fencing means perimeter because fencing is done on the boundary of the field and boundary is calculated by perimeter.

by the cost of fencing we can get perimeter of square field.

perimeter = total cost of fencing / cost of fencing per metre

perimeter = 10080/20

perimeter = 504 m

perimeter of square = 4× side

504 m = 4 × side

side = 504/4

side = 126m

now, we have to lay a pavement which is 3 m wide along the fencing insode the field. This means the side of the field will decrease by 3 m from both sides

so now the side of the square = 126-6= 120 m

now the area of pavement = area of square field outside the pavement - area of square field inside the pavement

area of pavement=

${(126)}^{2} - {(120)}^{2} \\ (126 + 120)(126 - 120) = 246 \times 6 \\1476 {m}^{2}$

cost of laying the pavement per sq m = rs 50

cost of laying the pavement 1476 sq m = 50× 1476
