. =400m
Perimeter of square = 4a
400=4a
a= 100m

= 100*100

Let the length of the side of the square

garden = a m

length of fencing the garden = perimeter of the

square

= 4a metres

if the cost of fencing the 1 m = Rs 5

cost fencing the garden = ( 5 × 4a )Rs

= Rs( 20a )

But according to the problem given ,

20a = Rs 2000

a = 2000/20

a = 100 m

Therefore ,

length of the side of the square = a = 100m

Now ,

area of the garden = a²

= ( 100 )²

= 10000 square meters
