Let cost of one orange be x and one apple be y

ATQ,

5x+3y=30      .........(i)

2x+4y=26      .........(ii)

multiply 2 in (i) and 5 in (ii) we get

10x+6x=60                ...........(iii)

10x+20y=130             ..........(iv)

sub. (iii) from (iv) we get

0.x+14y=70

y=5

putting y=5 in (ii)

2x+20=26

2x=6

x=3

∴cost of one orange=x=3

cost of one apple=y=5                 Ans
