The cost of flooring a rectangular Hall at rupees 64 per square metre is rupees 2048 if the breadth of the hall in 5 M find.it length.

krish7758: 6.4meter
naquee83: Total cost of flooring = rs. 2048
Area of floor = 2048/64 m sq.
=32 m sq.
Breadth = 5m
Length = area / breadth
= 32/5 m
= 6.4 m

Answer:

6.4 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Cost of flooring = ₹2048

Rate of flooring = ₹64

Hence, area would have been = cost of flooring/rate of flooring

→ area of the floor = 2048/64

→ area of floor = 32 m²

Given that breadth = 5 m

and, we derived that area = 32 m²

But area = length × breadth

→ length × 5 = 32

→ length = 32/5

→ length = 6.4 m

Given :-

The total cost of flooring a rectangular hall = Rs 2048

The cost per m square is Rs 64

So,

Let the area of the floor of the rectangular hall be a m sq.

So,

Total cost,

⇒ a × 64 = 2948

a = 2048 ÷ 64

a = 32

Therefore,

The area of the floor of the rectangular hall is 32 m sq.

Now,

To be found:-

The length of the floor

The breadth is given = 5m

We know that,

Area of rectangle = lb unit sq.

[ ∴ In which l is the length and b is the breadth of the rectangle ]

⇒ 32 = l × 5

⇒ 32 ÷ 5 = l

⇒ 6.4 = l

Hence,

the length is 6.4 m

\bold{Given:-}

Breadth of the floor = 5\:m

Total cost of flooring the hall = Rs.\:2048

Cost of flooring per square meter = Rs.\:64

\bold{Now,}

Area of the hall = (Refer this attachment)

\bold{So,}

 = \frac{2048}{64} m^{2}

 = 32\:m^{2}

\bold{Now,}

Breadth = {5\:m}

Area = {32\:m^2}

\bold{We\:know\:that:-}

Area = Length \times Breadth

So, by substituting the above values,

\bold{We\:get,}

32\:m ^{2} = Length \times 5\:m

\frac{32\:m ^{2} }{5\:m} = Length

6.4\:m = Length

\bold{Therefore,}

The length of the hall is \bold{6.4\:m.}
