Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

Hypotenuse = 75 km

● Explanation -

Area of the triangular park is -

Area of park = total cost of levelling / rate of levelling

Area of park = 2700 / 2

Area of park = 1350 sq.km

But area of right angled triangle is -

Area of park = 1/2 × base × height

1350 = 1/2 × 45 × height

height = 1350×2/45

height = 60 km

Length of hypotenuse is calculated by -

Hypotenuse = √(45^2 + 60^2)

Hypotenuse = √(2025 + 3600)

Hypotenuse = √(5625)

Hypotenuse = 75 km

Hence, length of hypotenuse is 75 km.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you...

According to question.

The cost of levelling a park is 2700 for each 2km/sq.

If the park is in right angled triangular form with one side being 45 km.

Find:- hypotenuse.

Lets use formula:

Area of the triangular park - Area of park = Total cost of levelling/Rate of levelling (1350 = Area of park).

Formula:

1350 = 1/2 × 45 × Height

Height

1350 × 2/45

Height

60 km

Length of hypotenuse:

=  \sqrt{(45^2 + 60^2)}  \\ </p><p>=  \sqrt{(2025 + 3600)}  \\ </p><p>=  \sqrt{5625}  \\ </p><p>= 75 \:  km

As a result, length of hypotenuse is 75 km.
