The cost of making a fence is directly
proportional to the length of the fence. The
cost for a 4 m fence is 240.
(a) Find the cost for a 7 m fence.
(b) If Yusuf has a budget of only 350, what
is the maximum length of fence he can
make?​

Answer:

(a) cost of making 4m fence=240

coast of making 1m fence=240/4=60

therefore cost of making 7m fence=60*7=420

(b) length of fence in 240rs.=4m

length of fence in 1rs.=4/240m=1/60m

length of fence in 350rs.=(1/60)*350rs.=35/6m=5 5/6m

=>The cost for a 1 m fence

 =  >  \frac{240}{4}

 =  > 420
