Let the Cost of pen be x

then the Cost of pencil be y

According to the Question

It is given that , the cost of pen is Rs. 6 more than two times the Cost of    pencil

Two times the cost of pencil is equal to 2y

Six more than two times of the pencil can be written as

2y + 6 = x

x = 2y + 6

Therefore , the linear equation in two variable for the question is x = 2y + 6
