Answer is 45 litre
A car rans 12 km on each litre of petrol
Each litre costs $24
means 12x2=24
so a van covers 11km on each litre
if we multiply it by 45.45x11=500
11x2=$22
so 22x45.45=999.9
so it costs $999

Answer:$54.54

Step-by-step explanation:In case of car,

the amount of petrol needed for 12 km = 1 litre

the amount of petrol needed for 1 km= 1/12

the amount of petrol needed for 240 km= 240*1/12=20 litres.

In case of van, amount of petrol needed for 11 km = 1 litre.

amount of petrol needed for 1 km= 1/11

amount of petrol needed for 500km= 500*1/11=45.45 litres.

Cost of 20 litres= $24

cost of 1 litre= 24/20

cost of 45.45 litres= 24/20*45.45=$54.54.
