the cost of ploughing a rectangular field whose length is 15 m and breadth is 20 m is Rs 20 / m^2. if the length of rectangle is increased by 20 % and breadth by 25%.find the cost of ploughing field now

Solution :-

→ initial Length of Rectangle = 15m.

→ Length increased = 20% .

→ New Length = (15 * 120)/100 = 18m.

And,

→ initial Breadth of Rectangle = 20m.

→ Length increased = 25% .

→ New Breadth = (20 * 125)/100 = 25m.

So,

→ Area of New Rectangle = Length * Breadth = 18 * 25 = 450m².

Now,

→ cost of ploughing the rectangle of Area 1m² is = Rs.20

→ cost of ploughing the complete rectangle = 450 * 20 = Rs.9000 (Ans.)

Hence, the cost of ploughing field now is Rs.9000.
