so,

as per condition.

if cost decreases by 1.

so cost of each book = x-1

no of books,

60/x-1.

as per condition.

if cost is decreased one gets five books more

so,

60/x-1 - 60/x =5.

which is x^2-x-12=0

where x=4. or. x= -3

but cost can't be negative

so, x= 4.
