Cost of chairs = c

t+8c = 2200 ----(1)

t=c+150------------(2)

Substituting for t in (1) using (2),   c+150+8c=2200

9c = 2200 - 150 = 2050

c= 2050/9 = 227.78

t=c+150= 377.78
