Cost of table = 1620 rs
cost of chair = 16% more than 1620
cost of chair :-
16% of 1620
=> 16/100×1620
=> 25920/100
=> 259.2
New price = 1620+259.2 = 1879.2
hence the required price is 1879.2 rs.

Answer:

Cost of table = 870

Cost of chair = 750

Step-by-step explanation

Cost of table = x

Cost of chair = y

x = y + (y ÷ 100) × 16

x + y = 1620

16y ÷ 100+ y + y = 1620

After taking L.C.M and cross multiplying

216y = 162000

y = 162000 ÷  216 = 750

Cost of chair = ₹750

Cost of table  = 1620 - 750

=870

Cost of  table = ₹870
