Given :-

The  cost of three apples, two mangoes and four  oranges is 43. The cost of five apples, three  mangoes and six oranges is *66

To Find :-

Cost of apple

Solution :-

Let the cost of apple be a and mangeo be m

3a + 2m = 43 (1)

5a + 3m = 66 (2)

Multiply eq 1 by 3 and eq 2 by 2

3(3a + 2m) = 3(43)

9a + 6m = 129 (3)

2(5a + 3m) = 2(66)

10a + 6m = 132 (4)

Now

Subtracting 3 and 4

10a + 6m - (9a + 6m) = 132 - 129

10a + 6m - 9a - 6m = 3

10a - 9a = 3

a = 3

Cost of one apple is 3
