if the table costs $40 more than the chair , find the cost of the table and chair ..

Answer:

let the cost of one table be X and cost of one chair be y.

2x+ 3y=704$-(I)

now, x-y=40$-(ii)

solve both the equations(I) and (ii),

u will get ,

5y=624$

y=124.8$

X=124.8+40=164.8$
