So Table= x+40Rs (given in the question).
2x+ 3(x+40) = 705.
2x+3x+120= 705.
5x= 705-120= 585.
x = 585/5.
= 117Rs.
Price of a chair = 117Rs
Price of a table= 117+40= 157Rs.
Combined price of table and chair= 117+157.
= 274Rs.
