Answer: Cost of Table = Rs 125 and cost of Chair = Rs 165.

Step-by-step explanation: Let the cost of chair be Rs X

Then, according to the question

the cost of table = Rs (X + 40)

Then 2(X + 40) + 3X = 705

=> 2X + 80 + 3X = 705

=> 5X = 705 - 80

=> 5X = 625

=> X = 125

Therefore cost of chair = Rs 125

and cost of table = Rs(125 + 40) =  Rs 165
