Answer:

Given 2 tables and 3 chairs=Rs.1850

Let cost of 1 chair =Rs.x

Cost of 1 table =Rs.y

Now, we have

3x+2y=1850×5 ...(i)

5x+3y=2850×3 ...(ii)

⇒15x+10y=9250 ...(1)

15x+9y=8550 .... (2)

Subtract (1)-(2), we get y=700.

Substitute values of y in (1), we get

3x+1400=1850

⇒3x=450

⇒x=Rs.150

∴ total cost of 1 chair and 1 table is 150+700=Rs.850.
