Cost Price is the price that the seller bought the item at.

Markup is the amount that the seller wish to earn from selling the item.

Printed Price is the price tag of the item that the customer will see.

Given :

Cost Price = Rs 5000

Markup = 12%

Find the printed price:

Markup = 12% of Rs 5000

Markup = 0.12 x 5000

Markup = Rs 600

Printed Price = Cost Price + Markup

Printed Price = 5000 + 600

Printed Price = Rs 5600

Answer: The printed price is Rs 5600
