Correct question :-

The curved surface area of a cone is 2200 sq cm and its slant height is 50 cm find the total surface area of cone ( π=22/7 )

Solution :-

Slant height of the cone ( l ) = 50 cm

Curved surface area of the cone = 2200 sq. cm

Also, Curved surface area of a cone = πrl sq. units

[ Where r = Radius of base, l = Slant height ]

⇒ 2200 = πrl

⇒ 2200 = 22/7 * r * 50

⇒ 2200/22 = 50r/7

⇒ 100 = 50r/7

⇒ 100/50 * 7 = r

⇒ 2 * 7 = r

⇒ 14 = r

⇒ r = 14

Total surface area of the cone = πr(r + l)

= 22/7 * 14 * (14 + 50)

= 22 * 2 * 64

= 44 * 64

= 2816 cm²

Therefore TSA of the cone is 2816 cm².

Answer:

Explanation:

Question :-

The curved surface area of a cone is 2200 sq cm and its slant height is 50 cm find the total surface area of cone ?

Answer :-

Given :-

Slant height of the cone, l = 50 cm

Curved surface area of the cone, = 2200 cm²

To Find :-

Total surface area of cone

Formula to be used :-

Curved surface area of a cone = πrl

Total Surface Area = CSA + Area of base

Solution :-

Curved surface area of a cone = πrl

⇒ 22 /7 × r × 50 = 2200

⇒ r = 2200 × 7/50 × 22

⇒ r = 2 × 7

r = 14 cm

Now, Total Surface Area = CSA + Area of base

Total Surface Area = 2200 + ( 22 × 14 × 14 / 7)

Total Surface Area  = 2200 + (22× 2 × 14)

Total Surface Area  = 2200 + (44×14)

Total Surface Area = 2200 + 616

Total Surface Area = 2816 cm²

Hence, the total surface area of cone is 2816 cm².
