coulomb's law is not valid for moving charge because the information about the position of the charge (the field caused by the charge) can only travel at the speed of light

the expression is valid only for point charge.for continuous and finite size charge distribution , integration technique must be used . however this expression can be used as an approximate for a finite sized source charge.
