High Court

These courts are under administrative control of the High Court of the State to which the district concerned belongs. The decisions of District court are subject to the appellate jurisdiction of the High court. The provisions related to subordinate courts are provided in the 6th part of the Indian Constitution.

65 years

The retirement age for the Supreme Court judges is 65 years; whereas, initially, for the High Court judges, it was 60 years. It was increased to 62 years, by the Constitution (Fifteenth Amendment) Act 1963.
