Explanation:

Court cannot act on its own because Court is a temple of law and "law is blind". Bind person or a 'Court of law' cannot decide or act on its own and needs to be guided via evidence, argument and plaint.

Answer:

1. Court imparts justice through well defined procedures which allow the court to act only when approached.

2. The complaint must be supported by evidences and witnesses. It is the complainant

and not the court, who is in better position to find and present these for fair justice.

3. Power to act on its own may turn courts autocratic and so partial.

4. There must be grievance to redress, which courts may not judge on their own. It is

for the aggrieved to reveal injustice and seek help. The court cannot decide an act as

worthy of legal course.

5. So the courts cannot act on their own.
