Actually on question some what error is there.
suppose if question is to find s p then you can check this steps
step 1
c p of first watch = 840 / 2 = 420
profit % = 16
s p of the first watch = [(100 + profit%) / 100 ] x c p
= (116 / 100) x 420
= 487.20
c p of second watch = 420
loss % = 12
s p of the second watch = [(100-loss%) / 100] x c p
= (88/100) x 420
= 369.60
