I think you want to know the power of the crane, then its wrong term to use. Cranes are known by their capacity. Edison Ooi gave good mathematical calculations but engineering do not accept that way.

A 5Tons crane can’t lift 5Tons load, to calculate real capacity of the crane you need to go reverse and understand some basic ground job like actual capacity, load, safe working load, radius, boom length and crane chart.

Any crane can’t lift more than 70% of its real capacity. And if Load is high it can’t take beyond 50% of its actual capacity. Each crane can lift loads based on the radius, at small radius cranes can lift more load, as radius increases crane capacity decreases.
