Given - Refractive index of glass is 1.5 and Refractive index of water is 4/3

Find - Critical angle of glass water surface.

Solution - Formula used to calculate critical angle of glass water surface is - sin theta = refractive index of water/refractive index of glass.

Keeping the given values in equation-

sin theta = (4/3)/(3/2)

sin theta = (4*2)/(3*3)

sin theta = 8/9

theta = sin-¹(8/9)

theta = 62.73°

Hence, Critical angle of glass water surface is 62.73°.
