given : ab =14cm , height = 8m, 1.5m
area of trapezium = 1/2 ( a+b) * h
here a= 14 m, b=1.5m, h= 8m
area= 1/2(14+1.5)*8
area= 62m

Answer:

The area of the cross section = 66.5 meter²

Step-by-step explanation:

Width of the trapezium = 14 m

Depth at the shallow end = 1.5 meter

Depth at the deep end = 8 meter.

Now, we need to find this area of cross section of the trapezium :

Area = \frac{1}{2}\times (\text{Depth at shallow end + Depth at deep end})\times \text{width}\\\\\implies Area = \frac{1}{2}\times (1.5+8)\times 14\\\\\implies Area = 66.5\:\:meter^2

Thus, The area of the cross section = 66.5 meter²
