the cross section of a canal is a trapezium in shape . if the canal is 12m wide at the top , 8m wide at the bottom and the area of cross section is 84meter square, find its depth​

area of trapezium = 1/2× h× (a+b)

84 = 1/2 × h× (12+8)

84= 1/2 ×h×(20)

84 = h× 10

84/10 =h

therefore height is 8.4
