The cryptographic method that is considered to be truly unbreakable is the Vernam Cipher method.

The vernam cipher is based on the principle that every plain text character in the message is 'blended' with a single character in the main stream.

If using a really random key flow, the result is really 'random' cipher text, which has no relation to the original simple text.

In that case, the cipher is the same as an attachable one-time pad (OTP). The system is also known as one-time tape or OTT because it is commonly used with teleprinter and 5-level screwed tape.

The cryptographic method that is considered to be truly unbreakable is Vernam cipher.

It is the only unbreakable cryptosystem and among all the methods of encryption that are ever devised.

It is only one method that has been mathematically proves to be completely secure and safe encryption method and it is known as Vernam cipher or also called as one-time pad.
