Copper Sulphate crystals are blue in colour.

It looks blue due to crystal formation with water molecules inside. When it looses them it looses the crystal hence turns into white.

Formation of copper sulphate crystal

Make the solution and stir copper sulfate powder into extreme hot water until no more will dissolve or the solution is saturated

Although there are two ways to grow the crystals. The easiest method is to simply pour the solution into a jar and wait for crystals to grow.

We can expect to see crystals within a few hours.

Use :- Copper sulfate pentahydrate is used as a fungicide ( fungal infection). Some fungi are capable of adapting to elevated levels of copper ions and resist .

➢ Filter the solution to remove impurities.

➢ Heat the copper sulphate solution on water bath.

➢ When small crystals form on glass rods, stop heating.

➢ Allow the saturated solution to cool slowly.
